"She was saved — and now she saves others."
At age three, Mikako could make sounds but no words came out. Her tongue could not move laterally — a disability. Surgery was recommended, but there was no guarantee. Rehabilitation continued for a long time, but brought no results.
Around that time, her mother had encountered Divine Light and begun giving it to others. Months later, the doctor called them in — Mikako's tongue was moving. Her mother, who had never once heard her daughter speak a word, leaned close and said softly: "Say your name." And slowly, from Mikako, it came: "Mi... ka... ko." That single word opened her life.
She had been saved — and she never forgot it. Years later, she chose to dedicate her life to the very practice that had given her words. Today, she serves as a minister in America, bringing Divine Light to others. The child who was once rescued became the one who rescues.
